Urgent Update for Apple iPads iPhones and Apple Watches

If you have an Apple iPad, iPhone or an Apple watch, be aware that Apple has released an emergency update to patch a serious vulnerability (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT212258) found in iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS.

The vulnerability, which was discovered by Google's Threat Analysis Group, affects Apple's WebKit browser engine. According to Apple the vulnerability is being actively exploited, so it is important that you update your device promptly.

For those of you with newer devices, the patches are iOS 14.4.2, iPadOS 14.4.2, and watchOS 7.3.3, respectively. For those of you with older devices, which normally don't receive updates, the update is iOS 12.5.2 for iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3, and iPod touch (6th generation).

Installation of the update is not difficult. For iPads and iPhones tap on the settings icon, then on the "General" button. Tap on the "Software Update" option and request the latest version of the operating system. Download and installation takes roughly 10 minutes.

For those of you with Apple Watches go to the Apple Watch app.
